Explore the art of Lise Silva creator of the sacred knot and Mary Elizabeth Evans the creator of Spirit Speak Tarot.
Together they have created In The House of Lovers. Come by and meet these lovely talented ladies.
Saturday September 26th
3-7 at BellJar, San Francisco.
There will be drinks, Tarot readings, and creative energy all around!
In 2015 Mary & Lise launched In The House of Lovers, a collection of ceremonial artwear and one of a kind wall hangings that incorporate fiber, metals, and crystals. Drawing from their respective backgrounds in metalwork & fiber art, they use a wide range of techniques and materials to create each piece. Mary translates her whimsical tarot illustration into figurative metal pendants depicting hands, stars, eyes, and other powerful symbols. Lise uses color and design to construct a piece that supports or expounds upon the essence of Mary's charms. Their work is best described as statement jewelry, as each handcrafted, bold piece is imbued with special meaning. From weddings to protests, they have adorned In The House of Lovers wearers for the most sacred events.

Come mingle and explore the new works of Patrick Dunaway at his Opening on Friday, June 26th from 6pm – 9pm at BellJar (3187 16th St.) Be inspired, sip cocktails and enjoy his geometric pen and ink creations.
Patrick is a visual artist residing in Oakland California. His work deals with geometric and biological forms and his intricate touch, resonates with mystery and magic. His work is clean and simple, while still being complex, leaving the viewer with the space to ponder it’s mystical undertones.
Spending much of his childhood in the American Southwest and Death Valley specifically, his recent pieces draw from symbols of the desert in repetitive patterns. The spirit of his homeland is ever present in these pieces and we are so thrilled to share them with you.
The show will be on display at BellJar (3187 16th St., SF, CA 94103) from June 26th, 2014 through July 24th

This Friday we welcome our long time friend and amazing local Gal Morgan Miller to the walls of BellJar.
Friday May 8th
Cocktails, Friends and Art
Morgan Miller is a self-taught artist working with oil paint on wood panels. The electric colorscape of her work is directly influenced by travels through the desert.
Her work questions society's unease with sexuality, body shaming and gender identities. Miller's paintings seek to separate nude portraiture from eroticism.
She will also have some of her handmade wares available for sale.

There is nothing we love more here at BellJar than local and handmade jewelry - which is why we want to talk to you today about some of our favorite local talents!
- KRIS NATIONS -
Our favorite sister duo, Kris & Kim of Kris Nations, create their jewelry out of Half Moon Bay. They have a sophisticated, free-spirited and bohemian style which translates into their gorgeously eclectic line of jewelry. Each sister brings her own creative vision to the table which makes for truly collaborative and stunning designs. They envision the wearers of their jewelry to be "a graceful, worldly, confident woman, with true personal style that transcends time and trends" - and as soon as you put on one of their pieces there is NO WAY that you won't be oozing confidence!

- SALTY FOX JEWELRY -
Megan Stacy is the designer and the face behind Salty Fox Jewelry. Her pieces are eye-catching and are the best way to make a statement. Her creations have "an edgy femininity that strikes a balance between sophistication and a bit of grit." The intriguing geometric shapes of these pieces instantly draw the eye in and are 100% lust-worthy... and even better, they are all handmade here in San Francisco!
- WHILE ODIN SLEEPS -
Although Lauren of While Odin Sleeps has recently relocated to Texas, she was previously based in San Francisco and has left her heart here with us! Her pieces are very inspired by elements of nature: "There is something to be said about the colors Mother Nature chose and the shapes she has created. She's quite the artist and her work is what inspires mine." Each piece by While Odin Sleeps is visually striking and awe-inspiring - you will never want to take this jewelry off, we promise.
- BLUCE -
Bluce Jewelry is not only simple, elegant, and eco-friendly but it is also completely unique - all of the designs are handcrafted using guitar strings! The used guitar strings are locally sourced here in California and are given a new life. The designer and founder, Brianna Luce, was raised in a musically-rich environment which was the main inspiration behind her line. Bluce's striking mixed metal designs are truly one-of-a-kind conversation starters!
