Jory makes me smile...for so many different reasons. I forced her to be a BellJar model today. CUte and sooo funny!

I'm still sick...but today I had to shower and do my hair and make-up. I just could not bear another day as a sickly looking lady. I have read and watched more TV than any one person should be allowed to these last few weeks. I watched all 4 seasons of skins in a week and a half. Ridiculous. Was up with a terrible cough last night so I watched the Social Network while playing on facebook. The irony is not lost on me. Needed some pure Glamour Porn to perk me up. Today is seriously the last day I will accept being sick. But today is a day being sick while wearing high heels!

After finally feeling better...I had a super full weekend. Went to dinner with my pal Kylea for her birthday at Dosa and then to her little Soiree. Saturday night went to a party at the Pin Ball Museum in Alameda for Klover's birthday. My god, what a rad place. The front is all vintage pin ball machines and the back modern ones. It's 15 bucks to get in and then unlimited pinball. It may be my new saturday night jam. I didn't realize pinball was sooo fun. Sunday did brunch at Bar Tartine with Jori and then a superbowl party. No I did not watch the game...i hung out on the porch with the ladies and drank lemonade. The weather was unbelievable all weekend. Sadly...I got sick again. Went to Cala yesterday to shop for Summer frocks and just started to feel so terrible. Got home at 4 and crashed out. I slept straight through till this morning. I felt so bad this morning I was literally in tears. I'm usually so healthy and since Holly died it has just been non stop sick. So I'm in bed watching the Runaways...here are some pics for you to feel like you are hanging with the sickly, but always glamorous Sasha Darling.

Have been hiding away the past few days, regrouping. Thank god for Miss Jory pants for taking care of things down at the shop for me. It's been such a long time since I have slowed down. Yesterday I finally pulled myself out of my bed where I had ben lying for almost two days in the same clothes and took myself to the gym and the dogs to the park. It's not fair to keep them cooped up, just because I'm having a breakdown. Here's the thing with pets, they depend on us so completely and in return for their constant and steadfast love we must take care of them. They are my cheerleaders, they are my constant reminders of how beautiful life is, even when I have almost completely forgotten. When I was going through my divorce it was Holly and Pig that were here night after night, standing by me, unshowered, matted hair and puffy eyed. I remember Holly would touch her paw softly to my face when I cried and she would meow sadly. Pig who is not much of a snuggler would put her face right against mine and just stare at me with her soulful eyes. How could I not pull myself out of my slump and move on? If not for me then for them? We went up to the excelsior park and it was lovely out. This weather really is something? This is why I adore San Francisco. It's unpredictable and when you really need a little sun, it provides; even in the dead of winter. Today I woke up to a severe cold....bordering on a full blown flu. Not quite ready to come completely out of my hiding...but soon I will emerge even stronger than before. .
