Pig and I had a bit of a late night last night. After the event at the shop, the BellJar girls went out and had a few drinks in the lovely torn up Mission. First we went to Dalva and had some fancy cocktails in their new back room. So happy to have a joint that serves savoy cocktails near the shop...but sadly its only Thurs-Sat at this point. I selfishly want to keep it secret so I can always get a nice little seat at the bar, and have the bartenders full attention, but I also want it to be 7 days a week. So, my fancy cocktail loving friends, get in there and order me a rattlesnake!
After once nice beverage, we headed over to Amnesia. Our darling friend and amazing artist Kevin Taylor was there with our upcoming BellJar artist, Scott Greenwalt. There was some noisy sounding Jazz band playing but rather then listen me and Scott arm wrestled. I totally did not win, but he at least made me feel like I was strong and pretended it was a tough battle.
The girls started to scanter home to their boys so it ended up just, Kev, Scott, Kristin and I walked over to Casanova for one last drink. I wish I would have had my video camera last night. There were some crazy things happening at the Nova. There was some sort of kooky in the air and these people were doing dramatic interpretive dance in the middle of the room and on top of the tables. I was mildly amused but was also reminded of how old I am. The generation gap in my neighborhood is felt, which is why I tend to stay out of bars. Take me to a nice restaurant so I can have good conversation with like minded adults, that's all I'm saying. But I did have a good time hanging with my peeps.
So, after a night of working and drinking I decided it would be a good day to take off. Pig and I woke up at 7 am, and we were both itching to see some nature. We drove down to Pacifica and walked along the beach and hiked up the trail. It was perfect weather out and pig and I made some Dog and Surfer friends along the way!
Now we are off, to go do lunch and see some friends. Xo Darlings and as always, stay gorgeous.
