Heidi creates pieces using local raw materials and expressing a very Californian vernacular: elements of Native American craft, Mid-century nods and a rough, visibly hand-hewn finish. The landscape of the Golden State also seems to play strong, as Heidi explains: “The natural beauty of the Californian mountains, desert and sea are a big love for me, and I try to capture and evoke the colors and shapes I find in nature.”
