Zero Waste Sewing & Mending October 1st
Don't toss your favorite shirt or jeans because you can't repair them—you can give your clothes a second life! Repairing clothing is easier than you think—and it saves money, time, and cuts down on landfill waste.
Join us to repair items from your own closet using machine and hand-sewing techniques. We will cover simple repairs like missing buttons, holes, tears, and more. Bring 2-3 items to repair, plus any equipment you have at home, like patches, buttons, thread and sewing scissors.
Your teacher, Megan Knize, has been sewing, knitting and upcycling for as long as she can remember. An attorney with a passion for recycling, composting, reuse, and her local Repair Cafe, Megan is excited to raise awareness about zero waste living.
